John Wesley (1703 - 1791)
John Wesley, with the help of brother Charles Wesley, George Whitfield and
others led a revival in the 18th century that transformed England.
John Wesley was an Anglican priest and a professor at Oxford University.
He was founder of the Methodist movement. He preached thousands of
times while crisscrossing England on horseback. In his sermons he
emphasized faith, love, and holiness of heart and life.
